Meanwhile, our Antidotes to Toxicity Project Awards Competition continues to generate rich dialogue on the community forum. We invite you to join the conversation through inquiry, resource-sharing, and thought-partnership with each of these innovative proposals.

River Reimagining Workshop: 

Imagining alternative futures for the Jones Falls River

The Jones Falls River has been partially hidden below I-83 for over 50 years, overlooked and mistreated. How might we radically reimagine our river as the center of a reconnected and ecologically vibrant Baltimore?

Join our upcoming River Reimagining Workshop on April 21st for City & Civil Leaders & Elected Officials, to think beyond the status quo and share creative, radical, unexpected visions for the future of the Jones Falls.

Join us April 17–18 for the Johns Hopkins University Comparative Thought and Literature Graduate Symposium, Touching Earth: Queer Ecologies, Ecosexualities, and the Ethics of Relation—a dynamic, interdisciplinary gathering exploring how feminist, queer, and environmental thought can reshape our relationships with the more-than-human world.

Featuring a keynote by Dr. Heather Davis (the New School), a screening of the film Playing with Fire: An Ecosexual Emergency, multiple engaging panels featuring renowned scholars and graduate student work, and a closing reception with a DJ set by The Soft Pink Truth, this free event, co-sponsored by the EDC, invites you into a vibrant weekend of ideas, art, and exchange.
