Pilot – Amphibious Council of 2060

You are invited to the Amphibious Council.

In this fast-paced, 90-minute interactive online workshop, you will step into the shoes of a 2060 Fells Point resident. But humans aren’t the only ones at the table. You might be assigned the role of a floating pub owner, a historic preservationist, or even a local Eastern Oyster, a Black-Crowned Night Heron, or the Inner Harbor Water itself.
Together, we will use a digital whiteboard to negotiate how to share our flooded streets, build floating habitats, and resolve conflicts without building walls.
Why are we doing this? While this scenario is set in the future, the goal is very real. We will use the wild, creative ideas generated in this workshop to draft actual, citizen-led policy recommendations for how Baltimore should adapt to climate change today. This workshop is part of my MA in Design Project for Sustainable Design Futures.
