Winter and early spring is the best time of year to protect our tree canopy from the persistent, pervasive threat of English Ivy. That is why we are working to remove Ivy from 650 trees throughout the Stony Run stream valley before May 1. Saturday February 22nd from 10 am – 12 pm we’ll be meeting in Linkwood Park.
We’ll meet where the Stony Run crosses Overhill Road along Meadow Lane.
Come help us out or just come say hey!
You don’t have to be a weed warrior or know anything about trees or invasive plants – all are welcome!
There will be tools and gloves available. However if you have your own gear (loppers, trimmers, or hand saws) please do bring them along.
