EVENT: Celebrate Park(ING) Day with Morgan State University’s School of Architecture and Planning! PROJECT: Tactical Urbanism for BluePrint Café’s Community Space Location: 31st Street (between St. Paul & Charles Streets) and Corner of 31st & St. Paul (by the Vipe Shop), Charles Village TIMELINE: Design Charrette: September 4, 2025 | 5:30–9:00 PM @ BluePrint Café Park(ING) Day Installation: September 19, 2025 (Global event date) AGENDA 5:30–6:00 PM | Brainstorming: Share ideas with peers and mentors. 6:00–6:40 PM | Collaborative Design: Refine concepts into actionable plans. 6:40–6:50 PM | Voting: Select the winning proposal. 6:50–7:50 PM | Finalization: Develop build strategies and material plans. 7:50–9:00 PM | Celebration & Reflection: Discuss outcomes and next steps. GOAL Transform parking spaces into a prototype social hub, a precursor to a permanent outdoor seating area for BluePrint Café and the Charles Village community. This project aligns with global Park(ING) Day efforts to reimagine streets as greener, more equitable public spaces. JOIN!
