Communities as Means of Repair
I really appreciated this conversation that we co-hosted the other day at the Station North Tool Library as part of our “Antidotes to Repair” series, and was struck in particular by the emphasis on community as an antidote, as in this moment when Blanca Callen Moreu of Barcelona said the following: “We say that thing: they wanted us isolated, but they will find us together. Because we are doing this together, we can repair. It’s also another way of going beyond the isolation and individualism. Even information is individualistic, you study something and it’s your own individual personal career, but these events are hacking this kind of mindset. I think it’s powerful.”
