JHU Undergrads: Join the SLC’s K-12 Education Working Group
Hi there,
I am co-chairing the Sustainability Leadership Council (SLC) K-12 Education Working Group and we are specifically interested in undergraduate student representation. If you’re at JHU but not an undergrad and interested in the group, that’s great too – feel free to send a message.
More about the opportunity: Join students, faculty, and staff from across Johns Hopkins in the Sustainability Leadership Council K-12 Education Working Group. The charge of the working group is to spearhead coordination across new and existing JHU efforts to advance K-12 sustainability education curriculum locally, nationally, and globally. To that end, this spring the group plans to:
- Regularly convene students, faculty, and staff involved in JHU sustainability K-12 education initiatives
- Develop an inventory of JHU initiatives and resources for K-12 education in the sustainability space
Commitment: One-hour, monthly virtual meetings starting in late January with representation from various JHU schools and organizations. You may also be asked to spend time outside of meetings doing additional work, depending on your bandwidth.
If interested, message me (Lisa Nehring) here or email lnehrin1@jh.edu. Thanks for reading!
