Jones Falls 2076
Baltimore folks, please join us at the Peale Museum tomorrow for an event kicking off an exciting new collaborative project that I’ve been developing together with @Lee of MICA and @brucewillen of Ghost Rivers, called Jones Falls 2076.
“The lower Jones Falls has been buried below I-83 for over 50 years, overlooked and mistreated. With the Jones Falls Expressway nearing its own end of life in the coming decades, we are on the threshold of another phase of radical change and possibility for the future condition of this river system. With this horizon in mind, the workshop is meant to kindle a collective imagination of how else the future of the river might look in ecological terms. The hope is that Baltimore too may one day join the many cities working to undo the damage caused by pervasive patterns of urban development.”
