Post-doc position at U of Arizona
We are thrilled to announce an exciting two-year postdoctoral position at the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona. The Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy is a university-wide research center that is the intellectual home for interdisciplinary, community-based policy research and outreach.
This role focuses on community engagement in environmental governance, a crucial area that addresses the challenges of institutional deficiencies, inequities, and the need for measurable outcomes in our environmental policies.
In this position, the researcher will have the opportunity to explore various community engagement efforts currently underway at the Udall Center, including urban greening initiatives, governance practices in the Colorado River Basin, and research on water contamination regulatory politics and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary research group and develop project designs.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, and coauthor academic articles.
- Engage with local, regional, and national partners and present research findings at conferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree or equivalent in geography, environmental policy, planning, political science, environmental science, or a related field.
- Strong enthusiasm for community engagement in environmental governance and a record of published research.
This is a two-year position starting in August 2025. We will begin reviewing applications on December 15th, 2024.
