Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity in Brazil
his project seeks to fill knowledge gaps to strengthen adaptation strategies with a focus on equity and sustainable development. The research will analyze data and case studies in the metropolitan regions of Sorocaba and Baixada Santista (State of São Paulo, Brazil), identifying institutional barriers and opportunities for more just adaptive practices. It will also investigate how visions of a sustainable future can be incorporated into public policies and environmental management.
The selected researcher will receive a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) of R$ 12,570.00 per month, plus a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship value to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
The project promotes synthesis science through the review and reanalysis of national and international data within the scope of the FAPESP-funded ReCiDATA project, using participatory and transdisciplinary methodologies. The position is open to both Brazilian and foreign candidates.
