I am an anthropology grad student in the Ecology, Evolution, Environment & Society Program Dartmouth College. Like other ethnographic environmental justice studies which often document nature's unevenness and its toll on the health and wellbeing of communities, I am interested in how Black communities live with and through ongoing injustice. Specifically, my dissertation examines the strategies or practices Black communities employ to make urban environments across Baltimore more livable.
