Hi folx,
My colleagues at the Center for Sustainable Futures at Columbia U are hosting a book event for my solarpunk, Cli-Fi novel, The Working. Wednesday, Nov 13th, 1-3pm ET. It’s in-person at Teachers College and also online. I’d love to see you. @Ben @JamieL @SHG perhaps we’ll meet in person? @tory are you in NYC?
Book Talk: Conversation with BrightFlame about climate fiction and her new book, The Working: Join us for a conversation with
BrightFlame about why she embedded real-world issues including the
climate crisis in contemporary fantasy, and how the book’s solarpunk
vibe helps us create sustainable futures. In The Working, a modern coven
must thwart a looming eco-cataclysm and find the key to the bright
future we need. The book has diverse characters, chosen family, magic,
and offers us hope. BrightFlame helped create the Center for Sustainable
Futures and is our Strategist for Regenerative Earth Practices.TO REGISTER: https://tc-columbia.libcal.com/event/13347929
NOTE: if you don’t have a CU email address, follow the instructions about using the support form toggled to RSVP and mention this event either in-person or online.
