Oh Josh so you were part of The Viridian Glade team! I went to the Columbia Climate Imaginations Fest last year and saw flyers for that, but the QR code on them didn’t work for me and I wasn’t able to find it again by Googling. Thanks for sharing, I’ll def check it out
I’ll also share my own little interactive fiction I made, it’s a dating sim (a very basic one, it was my “intro to Twine” experiment) where the player joins a climate activist org in college and chooses between four suitors: https://jialuostory.wordpress.com/2023/02/12/climate-dating-sim/
And I also know Arsht-Rock is doing cool things with climate and gaming, though it seems they may be more focused on the resilience-building rather than emission-reducing side. Still very cool though: https://onebillionresilient.org/project/gaming-technology/

I’ve made a Twine game, my first work of interactive fiction! Sharing it is a bit more complicated than my usual stories, so I’ve included some simple instructions below. Go to this Goo…

Thanks for starting this thread, Josh!
For those who live in NYC, there is a small (but slowly growing!) group of us who’ve formed a climate writers collective. We meet every 2-4 weeks in person; usually someone will have shared their climate story beforehand, and during our meeting we offer feedback to the writer. We also share resources, snacks, and generally fun discussions with each other.
Please DM me if you’re interested in joining! Some other members in the Climate Imaginarium are part of this writing group too, like @SHG and @jacq . We only started in October and are still shaping how we want to conduct the group, so it’s a great time to join

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie (she/they) and I write climate fiction. Storytelling and writing have always been big parts of my life, and in my day job I work as a climate resilience planner, so climate fiction is the perfect intersection for me. I’ve only really begun exploring it within the past few years, but I’m really loving everything I’m discovering! I’m also involved with climate justice organizing in New York, where I’m based. Super excited for this space
