• Great presentation at STSI by Anand and Lee! Looking forward to seeing all the ideas people shared for the future of Jones Falls.

I attached a little article here about my work because I believe in getting peoples’ attention with something fun and engaging. that can lead to educating and getting them involved.

I imagine (environmentally friendly) parades/processions/performances of people in costumes of blue herons, snapping turtles, kingfishers, etc…that would be viewable by passersby who don’t normally even think about the river- for instance one spot could be on the island in the river just south of the Northern Parkway/JFX cloverleaf so those crossing the bridge could watch from above. Anywhere there is a road crossing the stream.
All the school kids who go to school along the JF could make costumes of the beings who live in the river/forest buffer and parade through their neighborhoods….
We could paint the roads blue downtown where the river is running underneath!
