Sharing an opportunity to participate in an eco-arts activism intensive occurring July 15-19 at the Mercury Store theatre complex in Gowanus, Brooklyn, offered by the company I direct, Artichoke Dance Company. We’ll be looking at effective eco-arts strategies, using arts to go beyond awareness raising to instigate possibility, draw diverse communities together and spur action, and more. Applications are due June 21 and scholarships are available, but apply by June 14.

Thanks Josh. Is Climate Imaginarium in one of the row houses or elsewhere? And do you know if doing a performance outside, as opposed to in the space, would be an issue?

Yes! We’re in Building 406A on Colonels Row and open to the public every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Outdoor performances are fine and encouraged — we just have to give ample notice to the island’s management to make sure there are no conflicting events.
