Re-imagining Land – Regenerating Relational Ecologies: A Global Forum on Living Systems Resilience

This video features a conversation from the EDC’s 2024–2025 itinerary for “Reimagining Land,” a thematic exploration of land not merely as surface area, but as a living, interconnected entity shaped by water, air, and the ecosystems it supports. Land is marked by historical divisions, borders, and injustices, yet it also holds powerful possibilities for reimagining relationships beyond those boundaries.
In this video, we are honored to welcome Joe Culhane, who speaks to these themes and more. Joe is a collaborative eco-cosmic-generalist, folk herbalist, and proud father, weaving together leadership, communications, organizing, and social/climate healing work in innovative and relational ways. As Co-Founder of the Institute of Relational Being and the Schumacher Global Network, Joe brings over two decades of experience in event curation, public speaking, regenerative education, and ecological advocacy. With a master’s in Engaged Ecology from Schumacher College, his work bridges regenerative economics, biodiversity awareness, and place-based community building. Rooted in a deep reverence for the more-than-human world, Joe’s projects honor the interconnectedness of all life, inviting a shift from separation toward relational integration, reciprocal care, and mutual flourishing.
