Fellow data-heads! I have a vision for some really dynamic datasets + visualizations + maps that bring together data, community voice, and make visible both the needs and changes that happen as a result of community organizing.

I’m envisioning a dataset that can produce beautiful visualizations of a wide range of inputs, all coming from direct conversations with communities. (community priorities! persistent barriers! stated needs! cherished third places! dreamed up community hubs!)
I’m envisioning this data overlaying into maps, putting community voices into places, and showing the inextricably intertwined nature of people, place, and how they intersect to change together over time.

I’m currently collecting similar assets – maps and dataset visualizations of all types – that can help provide inspiration or examples for how data can be a living, interactive, collaborative thing.
