Deepen your connection with nature! The EDC goes on a guided meditation walk led by Ebram Victoria.

Interested in the healing effects of nature and meditation? Join us and RSVP for a special nature walk with our very own EDC curator, Ebram Victoria.

Victoria will teach us strategies for unlocking mindfulness, awakening our senses, and strengthening our relationship with nature. Practice the art and techniques of creating mental and physical balance.  

Come as you are. No special attire or footwear is necessary. Though you might want to bring a coat! The route will explore various urban terrains beginning on Morgan State University's HBCU campus, primarily via paved sidewalks.

New Group on the EDC platform: Planetary Health!

The EDC is teaming up with the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health. Join the new Planetary Health group on the EDC platform to learn more about how the dismantling of nature’s intricate and fragile web has become an urgent threat to human health and wellbeing. This group will offer a space for innovative, cross-disciplinary collaboration and collective thinking to inspire new ways of living that promote the health of our planet, people, and all life on earth.

The EDC launches a new forum! Find and share work and project opportunities on the EDC platform.

Over the last couple of months, we've noticed a lot of interest in posts related to work and project opportunities. From the beginning, the EDC's mission has been to foster communities of radical imaginative ecological thinking. We want you to bring your imagination into the workspace!

In that spirit, we have developed a new forum where EDC members can share such opportunities with each other: requests to collaborate, volunteer, jobs, expertise, work requests, and so on. Check out the new forum and learn more about our community guidelines for this space.

The EDC tours Baltimore's urban farming scene. Thank you to all who came!

Last month the EDC explored Baltimore's vibrant urban farming scene. By car, bike, and foot we trekked across east Baltimore to see how communities are transforming empty lots into urban gardens. We also got the chance to meet some of the intrepid organizers behind Baltimore's urban farming renaissance.
