Join us this month for an exciting conversation with renowned environmental artist Mary Mattingly. Mattingly tackles sustainability, climate change, and displacement through photography, performance, portable architecture, and sculptural ecosystems. This virtual event on our platform will be led by Kristine Roome, curator of our ECO-ARTS group, on Monday, April 29th, 4-5:30 pm ET.

The EDC Book Club continues this month with a discussion of Anthony Galluzzo’s new book, Against the Vortex: Zardoz and Degrowth Utopias in the Seventies and Today. Author Anthony Galluzzo will be joining us for a chat about this short and intriguing book, together with EDC curators Mike Degani and Anand Pandian. Join us on Tuesday, April 30th at 1pm ET.

Join the EDC Eco Anthropologists group for a conversation with anthropologists Alyssa Paredes, Andrés León Araya, and Nicole Labruto about their new publications in the journal Antipode on plantation biologies and methodologies. Our monthly author discussions continue on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 12pm ET.
