I’ve long had the kernel of an idea to host a workshop, series of workshops, panel, and/or informal practicum (think summer camp!) about children’s perspectives on the natural world and how adults might engage or expand to include such ways of being and thinking in their relations. This realignment of perception, values, and interaction could have ramifications for community well-being, from neighborhoods to climate change-related issues.
I am interested in connecting with educators, naturalists, and other thinkers/feelers who would like to begin with some brainstorming about the nexus of childhood, wilderness, the rupture of natural/social boundaries, simplicity, and cyclicity.
